Champagne, caviar and a fleet of fine yachts were enjoyed at the luxurious Delamar Yacht Showcase in Greenwich this past weekend.
Sixty to seventy boats were on display welcoming attendees aboard. There were familiar boaters as well as new visiting the Wasque 26 to discuss styling, options and to comment on her beautiful design.
If you missed the show this month, mark your calendars for Fall 2008 when the Delamar will host the Autumn show.
We are heading to Connecticut to the grounds and pier of the beautiful Delamar Greenwich Harbor. Some of the world’s finest yachts will be on display and we are proudly including our classic Wasque 26. We hope to see you there!

Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase
Through rain, snow and cold, many old old friends returned to visit. It was great to catch up with loyal customers.
It was a very good show considering all the bad news by the media. Fuel consumption was one of the big questions but luckily the Wasque 26, is one of the nicer, smaller boats out there that is very easily driven, quiet and efficient - 5.5 gallons hour at 18 knot cruise!
Although there is still snowflakes in the air, Portland is warming up for “the best of the best” boatbuilders who are coming together to represent their “works of art”. CW Hood Yachts is proud to be attending this quality show as we will be bringing our Wasque 26, (she is a real head turner). Very fitting for a Downeast yacht to be, well, Downeast…

This year’s Cape Cod Boat Show was a success with the weather holding out, many boat lovers came out. The Wasque 26 received “oohs” and “ahhs” from all that stepped on board. You could feel the excitement and anticipation from our visitors with hopes that Spring is around the corner.
We’re off to the show! Star, our newest Wasque 26, is all polished up and looking fine on the show floor at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). You’ll find us at booth #1294 (see map).

March 14-16, 2008: You’d be hard-pressed to come across a finer gathering of people and boats than the famed Maine Boatbuilders Show of Portland, Maine. Housed in the aging brick buildings of the Portland Company’s waterfront complex, the show features beautiful boats and other forms of artwork from the finest craftsmen and women in the region. This is an experience that should not be missed!

February 8-10, 2008: We’re very excited to become a part of this new event highlighting Massachusett’s boat building community. The Boat Builders Show on Cape Cod, hosted by the Cape Cod Marine Trades Association (CCMTA), features a collection of yachts, many custom made, that are unique to the area. We couldn’t think of a better setting for our classic Wasque 26, whose original design was born in the rich fishing grounds around Martha’s Vineyard and the Cape.

January 12-20, 2008: Be sure not to miss Boston’s New England Boat Show, which will for the second year in a row be based out of the fantastic new Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC).
