Hood 32 Sail Drive Option

November 4, 2010

After a number of requests at the recent boat shows, designers Chris Hood and Ben Stoddard have drawn up plans to add a sail drive option to our 32 foot daysailer. For those who would prefer to have power permanently installed instead of using the side-mounted Torqeedo electric outboard, we now have a solution. The new motor, made by Silette, is situated just aft of the keel and is powered by a Torqeedo lithium battery – a lightweight, efficient, and   no-mess alternative to diesel fuel.
